Coaching experience: Russell has been coaching with Tennis England since 2000 and has been Head Coach of NPL Tennis Club since March 2005. He has coached a variety of ages and abilities from 3-year-old children starting tennis for the first time to up and coming junior players and 1st team club players.

Teaching style/strengths: Russell likes to make his student’s feel that they have had a high-energy and fun lesson. He is always positive and loves to see people achieve their potential through his sound knowledge of tennis technique.

What have the children/adults/pros said about you: Russell is fantastically funny and a great tennis coach who also has a great ability to make everyone have a good time.

Playing history: At University Russell was the men’s captain for the Southampton Tennis Team, which won their divisions for the three successive years he was there. He is a member of the Esher 1st team in the Surrey leagues and NPL 1st team in the Middlesex leagues.

Other information: Russell loves meeting new people and spent a year travelling around the world, including places like Australia and South East Asia, which gave him the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and see different cultures. He is also passionate about learning new things and believes everyone has the potential to learn.
